Patricia Zimmermann was the invited closing speaker at "The Future of News" conference sponsored by the World Assocoiation of Newspapers and News Publishers(WAN IFRA)
in Singapore on February 26.

The title of her presentation was "Towards a Theory of Open Space Documentary, Journalism and Public Affairs."

The working conference was geared to professional print, broadcast and multimedia journalists from east, south and southeast Asia as well as Europe and the United States.

Zimmermann is currently serving as the Shaw Foundation Endowed Professor of New Technologies in the Wee Kim Week School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. At Ithaca College, she is codirector of the Finger Lakes
Environmental Film Festival in the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies and professor of cinema, photography and media arts in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
