The Partnership for Sustainability Education (PSE) coordinating team is offering four grants of $1,000 each for curriculum development initiatives in the area of sustainability, especially those that focus on the "social" element of the "triple bottom line". These mini-grants are intended to support curriculum development work being conducted this coming summer and/or fall to infuse sustainability-related content into Ithaca College courses. This year, the PSE is encouraging applications for curriculum development related to social justice issues. Online courses or module development are also given preference. The deadline for mini-grant funding proposals has been extended to Friday, April 16, 2010.

In the past, PSE has funded proposals to teach new courses, develop new components of existing courses, and revise existing courses to deal with issues relating to sustainability. Proposals have been funded for faculty in anthropology, politics, therapeutic recreation and leisure services, art history, health promotion and physical education, mathematics, women's studies, writing, biology, physics, economics, and environmental studies.

Past recipients of sustainability mini-grants are also eligible to apply for Phase II Case Study Grants of $400 each, to be awarded to faculty or staff upon successful submission of a detailed description which specifies how they integrated sustainability into the course or other educational activity funded by the initial mini-grant.
