Steve Mauk, professor of saxophone, recently presented several performances in the state of Georgia. He gave presentations at the the North American Saxophone Alliance conference at the University of Georgia and performed at two other universities during spring break.

Mauk premiered Karel Husa's Three Sketches for Solo Alto Saxophone during the Biennial Conference of the North American Saxophone Alliance in Athens, Georgia on March 5. In addition, Mauk was one of only a few individuals to present a master class at this national conference.

From March 15-19, he gave recitals and master classes at two universities in Georgia. Included in his programs were Husa's Three Sketches for Solo Alto Saxophone and the premiere of Husa's Four Bohemian Sketches for soprano saxophone and piano. Mauk's presentations were given at Columbus State University and Albany State University.
