Asma Barlas, professor of Politics and director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, participated in a two-day workshop on women in Muslim majority and minority countries at the Rockefeller Center in Bellagio, Italy, on March 13-14, at the invitation of the Italian Social Sciences Council and Ethnobarometer.  There were a total of 17 participants, of which two were from the U.S.
