March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month! Talking about Colorectal Cancer can be a touchy subject. Colorectal cancer is 90% preventable and 90% treatable if detected early, yet it remains to be the second leading cancer killer in the U.S. Don’t let embarrassment be a barrier to getting screened.

This lunch-and-learn will focus on:

  • Risk Factors,
  • Signs and Symptoms,
  • Screening Methods, and
  • Preparation Process

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to complete a Colorectal Cancer Risk Assessment! (This will be a private activity.)

This lunch-and-learn will be presented by Ashley St.Onge and Nootan Ghimire, Graduate students in the Health Education Program.

Be sure to join us to learn more about colorectal cancer prevention from Noon - 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 30th in the Ithaca Falls Room in Campus Center. Bring your lunch and bring a friend!  Light refreshments and snacks provided.

RSVPs appreciated to: hrstudent@ithaca.edu or x4-3245. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Caroline Stull in Human Resources at cstull@ithaca.edu or x4-3245. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.

Work/Life: We believe in the integration of work and life outside of work.
