CPMA Professor Ron Jude to lecture at Rochester Institute of TechnologyContributed by Ron Jude on 03/24/10
Photo House in association with the RIT School of Photographic Arts and Sciences presents photographer Ron Jude. Professor Jude will present a lecture on the mingling of conceptual art and photography as it relates to his recent photographic projects. The lecture will take place in the Carlson Auditorium on the RIT campus at 6 pm on Thursday, March 25th. This event is free and open to the public. Ron Jude is a photographer and teacher whose work has been exhibited at venues such as the Photographers' Gallery in London, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Roth/Horowitz Gallery in New York, San Francisco Camerawork, and Proekt_Fabrika in Moscow. His photographs are in many permanent collections, including institutions such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the George Eastman House. Jude's work has been published in The New Yorker, Blind Spot and DoubleTake magazines, among others. He has published two artist’s books entitled Alpine Star and Postcards. The Ice Plant in Los Angeles recently published Jude’s first monograph, Other Nature, a collection of photographs from 2001-2007. The Ice Plant will publish Jude’s newest book project, emmett, in late 2010. Ron Jude is represented by Gallery Luisotti in Los Angeles. |
