IC Asian Culture Club is hosting its annual Asia Month celebration in April. 

• April 1st @ 7pm in Klingenstein: Asian/Asian American Identity Panel:What does it mean to be Asian?

A discussion about Asian/Asian American identities on campus and in society. We will talk about mixed race issues, being an adopted Asian, the difference between Asian and Asian American and being Asian/Asian American on the Ithaca College campus. 

• April 2nd @ 11am to 3pm at Towers Dining Hall: Asia Cuisine Towers Luncheon 

For students with meal plans, enjoy delicious Asian cuisine from dumplings to lo-mein to sushi and much more! Play Asian games with us too and enter for a chance to win an "Ithaca is Gorges" t-shirt in Chinese or Korean!&

• April 7th @ 7pm @ Williams 211: Asian American Celebration Meeting

Discussion, games and activities focused on Asian celebration! Learn about today's prominent Asian Americans and appreciate the sacrifices early Asian immigrants made for generations today. 

• April 9th @ 7pm in Park Auditorium: Slam Poetry with Two-Time National Slam Poetry Champion,Beau Sia

Free Admission; Chinese American slam poet shares his award winning poetry with fun, enthusiam, and passion. His work has been praised nationwide and have been starred on Russell Simmons Def Jam HBO event. He will also speak about Asian American identity issues. • April 14th at 7pm @ Williams 211: Being Asian and LGBT

An event to learn about what is means to be an "untraditional" Asian American and the transgender culture in Thailand"

• April 16th @ 7pm @ IC Square: Asia Night!!

Our event of the year, there will be activities from calligraphy to henna to sushi-candy making to a traditional tea ceremony. At 7:30pm, join us for several performances from Taiko Drumming group Yamatai, karate from Seishi Juku, shakes from belly dancers FantAsia, fun from Cornell Lion Dance, a dance from the Hawaiian club and many more!! Be ready for the preview of Asian Jersey Shore! 

Food will be catered by Ithaca Dining Services and it will cost only $3/plate for food from all over Asia! 

• April 21st @ 7pm @ Williams 211: Persecution in Asia 7pm

A teach-in about several of the issues in Asia and what we can do as a young generation to help

• April 28th @ 7pm @ Clarke Lounge: Asian American Celebration and Recognition Ceremony 

Refreshments will be served; Celebrating the organization's nearly two decades of work and honoring outstanding Asian/Asian American students, staff, faculty, supporters, and local members.
