Professor of Psychology Barney Beins published an article in the journal History of Psychology entitled "Teaching Measurement Through Historical Sources".

This is the inaugural article in the section of the journal called "Teaching the History of Psychology". Professor Beins is the editor of that section.

The article provides an example of the use of historical issues associated with intelligence testing to teach about measurement in psychology. The article shows how concepts about intelligence and intelligence testing have evolved over the past century; teachers can use this information to illustrate the importance of understanding how measurements change as new theories emerge to replace old ones.
