As a young child, Noelle grew up in a small apartment in New York City.  She was never allowed to have any pets other than fish and hamsters. Watching people walk their own dogs on the sidewalks and seeing horses pulling carriages in Central Park always filled her with paradoxical emotions of excitement and sadness.  Luckily when she was six, her the family moved upstate.  At that time she was introduced to growing up with cats, dogs, and horses.  It was at that time she realized she had aspirations to become a vet.  Upon graduating from Ithaca College, Noelle's goal is to continue on to Veterinary Medicine.  Her ultimate goal is to become an equine surgeon.

The Fred Kastenbaum Pre-Health Award will be used towards the cost of the GRE course offered by Kaplan: Test Prep and Admission, which she will be taking this summer.

The award is provided through the Premedical Sciences at Ithaca College.
