2010 C. P. Snow Lecture: Jonah Lehrer, "The Future of Science is Art"Contributed by Craig Duncan on 04/05/10 Best-selling science author Jonah Lehrer will deliver the annual C. P. Snow Lecture on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Textor 102. This talk will look at the work of successful artists in order to learn about human nature and the quirks of the brain.

It is also a fallacy to run a line for this event in Intercom the day after it
happened. The lecture was very good, but seemed under attended by the student body. Perhaps this is a lack of advertising or just a lack of appreciation for opportunities provided to them. I actually heard about this lecture in my Philosophy class taught by Craig Duncan. |

I was a student here when the C.P. Snow Lecture series was inagurated with the aim of bridging the gap between the "two cultures." If anything, that gap has increased in the decades since.
I have been able to attend several of the Snow Lectures over the years and their content has been very good. They need to be promoted better.
I have a student taking math, physics, and history classes this year. I don't belive that she heard this lecture promoted in any of her classes.
