Don't Be Afraid To Help

Reaching out to someone in distress can be life-saving and scary.  Therefore, consider attending a Pathways training and learn how you can help reduce the incidence of crises in our community by building confidence and skills to reach out to those in distress.

Pathways is a crisis intervention and suicide prevention program offered by Counseling and Psychological Services.  Pathways workshops teach participants how to:

  • identify a potential mental health crisis,
  • initiate a conversation with someone at risk,
  • ask directly about suicidal thoughts,
  • and make referrals to appropriate resources

The next training is Wednesday, April 14, 2010; send an email to reserve your seat and get details about the training location.
