When you’re concerned about a friend’s well-being, you don’t have to be afraid of hurting your friend’s feelings, making things worse, or not knowing what to say.  Attend a Pathways training to increase your confidence in being able to help a friend, or anyone else.

Pathways is a crisis intervention and suicide prevention program offered by Counseling and Psychological Services.  Pathways workshops teach participants how to:

  • identify a potential mental health crisis,
  • initiate a conversation with someone at risk,
  • ask directly about suicidal thoughts,
  • and make referrals to appropriate resources.

The next training is Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

Ssign up at: https://www.ithaca.edu/sacl/osema/leadership/sli/ or contact Michele Lenhart (mlenhart@ithaca.edu), coordinator of the Student Leadership Institute in the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement for questions about the sign up process.  Questions about Pathways should be directed to LeBron Rankins, lrankins@ithaca.edu.

Space is limited; reserve your seat and tell a friend to sign up too!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services at 607-274-3136 (TDD - 607-274-1767).  Please make requests for accommodations as soon as possible.
