SIGHT SCHOOL in Oakland, CA is pleased to announce the opening of ICONS & ALLEGORIES, an exhibition comprising works by 9 artists working in a variety of media. The exhibition, curated by artist Mark McKnight, includes work in which the artists have assumed roles as motley as mythmaker and iconoclast and who, through either their permutation or scrutiny, have fashioned new cultural icons and allegories ripe with clandestine meaning.

Included in ICONS & ALLEGORIES will be six works from Professor Ron Jude's Alpine Star project.

In conjunction with the opening of the exhibition is the release of a limited edition catalog that will be on view and available for purchase. Published by Bread & Butter Books, the 36 page, supplement to the exhibition contains additional works by each artist.

The opening reception is Friday, April 9th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Sight School is located at 5651 San Pablo Avenue in Oakland.
