On March 31st, Environmental Studies majors Stephanie Piech ’11 & Sofia Johnson ’12 did an outstanding job presenting their work at the Sodexo Sustainability Conference, in Washington D.C.

Holly Fowler, Senior Director for Sustainability & CSR with Sodexo, states “It was a privilege to have the participation and perspectives of Stephanie and Sofia at our sustainability seminar. Transparency and collaboration with our clients, customers, and all stakeholders is fundamental to our sustainability strategy at Sodexo; Stephanie and Sofia were an integral part of our three day program, exchanging important initiatives with fellow sustainability subject matter experts. Their professionalism, passion and partnership for leading change that makes a positive difference is impressive and greatly appreciated.”

Both Stephanie and Sofia are employed as Ithaca Dining Services Sustainability Interns. Currently, they are sharing their experiences through their Ithaca Dining Services Sustainability blog.
