Graduating French major Caylena Cahill ('10) has been selected by the French government to teach English in a French school in the 2010 - 2011 academic year.

Each year, approximately 1,500 Americans are selected jointly by the French Ministry of Education and the Embassy of France to teach English language classes in primary and secondary schools throughout France and its overseas departments and territories.

This highly selective program is designed to strengthen English language instruction in the French educational system while giving American students of French an opportunity to immerse themselves in French language and culture.

Through her selection, Caylena continues Ithaca College's representation in the assistantship program, following Larry Komrower ('09), who is currently working as an English Teaching Assistant in Annecy, France.

Please join the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in congratulating Caylena on this honor and achievement.

Félicitations, Caylena, nous sommes fiers de vous !
