Srijana Bajracharya, Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education and the chair of the American Association of Health Education AAHE Ethics Committee, organized, proposed and presided over a panel session entitled, "A Discussion on Contemporary Ethical Practices in Health Education" at the AAHPERD National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 9, 2010.

 

This session was organized to meet one of the most important missions of the Committee: To educate and facilitate dialogue about the emerging trends, issues and ethical challenges at various settings and practices in Health Education. A total of four nationally known professionals presented their insights and contributed in respective settings with some hands-on activities. It included case studies, reviews of the current code of ethics on various practices and settings, and brainstormed about if there is a need for a revised version of the code.
