Scott (Cornell, Department of Natural Resources PhD program) serves as a tribal liaison with the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation. He focuses on Native American environmental philosophies and practices and is very connected with numerous community efforts involving Native Americans, including the Peachtown Native American Festival and the upcoming First Peoples Festival.

Hollie grew up on the Dine (Navajo) Nation and her dissertation (Purdue, Curriculum Studies Program) is on "How do Dine Youth Define Community?" She has expertise in multicultural education and has been working for the Tecumseh Project, a campus wide initiative at Purdue for recruitment and retention of Native students, event sponsorship, and the development of a Native American education and cultural center. Her publications include a chapter (in an edited volume) titled "Reading Harry Potter Through Native Eyes."
