Hear from an IC Alumna about this national service program that is designed specifically to fight poverty.  Seniors who are searching for a job should attend this information session to learn how to become a VISTA member. 

VISTA is a great way to spend the year after graduation giving back to the community, learning important job skills, and paying off your student loans. Members who complete 1 year of service receive a $5,350 education award to use towards higher education or paying off student loans, a modest living allowance and other benefits! 

VISTA members commit to serve full-time for a year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency, working to fight illiteracy, improve health services, create businesses, strengthen community groups, and much more.
 

Come and meet current VISTA members serving in Ithaca at the Ithaca Youth Bureau, and Alternatives Credit Union. Learn more about AmeriCorps VISTA and have all your questions answered about the program!
