This survey asks which way that you MAINLY commute to campus but doesn't
ask if or how often you choose an alternate method. I live in Ellis Hollow and
with the way the buses are routed, my commute would probably 3 times as
long. There needs to be some routes which can connect points at Cornell, East
hill, Dryden and Cortland to IC more efficiently. Also, in good weather, I am
trying to bicycle more to campus. There are still a shortage of bicycle racks in
some parts of campus and it would be nice if there was some sheltered storage
for bicycles. For those saving gas using motorcycles and scooters, there is a
lack of parking for those vehicles as well.

Thanks Marilyn. For our greenhouse gas inventory, we are concerned primarily
with the amount of fossil-fueled travel occurring. We do hope,
obviously, that the number of miles traveled in vehicles over time will decrease,
and that we can capture this in our annual inventory. When you fill out the
survey, your biking days will be reflected by overall fewer vehicle trips and miles.
