Submitted on behalf of Tanya R. Saunders, Dean, Interdisciplinary and International Studies. After 4 years of outstanding service as Assistant Dean of the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies (DIIS), Dr. Mary Turner DePalma is returning full-time to the Department of Psychology. Dr. DePalma’s collaborative spirit, attention to detail, work with Homer, concern for DIIS faculty and students, and experience in building community will be sorely missed. We congratulate Dr. DePalma on her many accomplishments on behalf of DIIS students, programs, and initiatives and thank her for her commitment to the DIIS and its mission. We also thank the Department of Psychology for lending the talents and expertise of Dr. DePalma to the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies. As coordinator of the Program in culture and Communication, let me add my words to those of Dean Saunders. It is not hyperbole for me to say that without Dr. DePalma's incredibly energy, brilliant problem-solving skills, extraordinary good-will and commitment to DIIS, we would all have been much poorer. I am so grateful to her for all she has done for the Division and for C&C and want to state so publicly, and I envy her Psychology colleagues who will have her back fulltime. She is a treasure.

It has truly been an absolute pleasure collaborating with Mary around the orientation program. She has done phenomenal work with advising and serving as an advocate for our first-year students. I know the Orientation Leader staff will miss her "treats" during training as well. I wish you all the best!
