Bethany A. Kilgore will be joining the School of Business staff as the Professional Development Coordinator in early May.  Kilgore is very eager to join the Ithaca College School of Business staff and work collaboratively with on and off-campus constituents to create a new, dynamic program within the School of Business.

“I’m confident in my abilities to bring the skills and resources necessary to help business students improve their professional development skills. By doing so, our business students will be among the qualified and competitive candidates seeking internships, admittance into graduate schools, and full-time employment.”

Bethany holds a Master of Education in Cultural Studies and has six years of professional service in higher education serving undergraduate and graduate students.  She is currently the Assistant Director of Experiential Education and Mentoring at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. While at Xavier, Kilgore established a mentoring program that recently facilitated over 100 mentoring matches. She reconvened the Internship Advisory Committee at Xavier to open access to new employers and community partnerships.  At Xavier, she served as the primary contact in her office to provide internship information to employers and 4,000 students.  She evaluates these programs for overall effectiveness and participant satisfaction.

Bethany is excited to contribute to the success of Ithaca College’s business students. She will be relocating to the area with her spouse and two children later this month.
