Asma Barlas, professor of politics and director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, has published a chapter, “Embodying Islam and Muslims: Religious and Secular Inscriptions,” in The Body Unbound: Philosophical Perspectives on Politics, Embodiment and Religion. The book, edited by Marius Timmann Mjaaland, Ola Sigurdson, and Sigridur Thorgeirsdottir, has just been released by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. |
