Dr. Miranda Cady Hallett, the CSCRE Assistant Professor of Latino/a Studies in 2009-2010, will be leaving Ithaca College in Fall 2010 to take a position at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

In her brief time at the Center, Hallett was deeply inspired by the important work emerging from the CSCRE through faculty research, dedicated critical pedagogy, and the engaging Discussion Series. At Otterbein, Hallett will take leadership of the cultural anthropology curriculum as well as offering courses in globalization, social justice struggles, and ethnographic approaches to racial and ethnic identities. She hopes to apply much of what she has learned from colleagues and students in the CSCRE to this new challenge!
