The Instructional Support Services professional staff of ITS are available this summer to work with faculty members who are interested in integrating technology into their fall courses or just exploring ideas, learning, and experimenting.  We'll start by listening to your vision, goals, or problem and work with you to choose and implement the best solution.

You may want to:

  • Make short video podcasts of your lectures and post in iTunes U and save class time for engaging discussions.
  • Record video to demonstrate a lab or technique.
  • Give your Blackboard course a makeover
  • Learn to use a new tool in Blackboard
  • Experiment with collaborative tools like wikis, Google Docs, web conferencing, social bookmarking.
  • Brainstorm and explore technology resources for your discipline
  • Evaluate the use of technology in your classes
  • Explore the use of clickers in your classroom
  • Experiment with data visualization mobile computing

Some of our past work has included:

  • 50 Physical Therapy diagnostic test videos for iTunes U and evaluating it's use by students.
  • 5 Speech Pathology diagnostic exam videos
  • Supporting web conferencing
  • Converting VHS to DVD
  • Creating DVD compilations for classroom use
  • Implementing wikis for student collaboration
  • Creating student surveys

The  Center for Educational Technology in Job 102 will have staff available from 8 am - 5 pm this summer and is open to all facutly 24/7.
