The Ithaca College softball team (30-13) has been selected for this year's NCAA Division III playoffs and will host one of eight regional tournaments. The second-seeded Bombers will open the double-elimination regional tournament Thursday, May 13 and play will continue until Monday, May 17. Ithaca will face seventh-seeded Dickinson (19-17) on Thursday, May 13 at 4 p.m. in the last of four Thursday games.

 

Top-seeded Cortland (38-6) faces eighth-seeded Keuka (23-8) at 10 a.m. followed by fourth-seeded Alfred (34-6) against fifth-seeded King’s (22-16) at noon and third-seeded Lebanon Valley (31-11) against sixth-seeded Polytechnic (31-9) at 2 p.m. Games continue on Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15, with the regional championship game scheduled for Sunday, May 16. If necessary (in the event neither team has two tournament losses), there will be a championship game rematch Monday, May 17. Ticket prices are $5 for general admission and $2 for students, senior citizens and children under 12. Tickets are only good for day of purchase and there will be no complimentary passes given out.
