Effective June 1, 2010 The Office of Disability Services, The Office of State Grants (HEOP and CSTEP); and the Office Academic Enrichment Services will operate as three independent operations, reporting directly to the Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Initiatives. The intent of this restructuring is to enable these offices to most effectively deliver important services to our students and is occurring after a careful, thoughtful and inclusive process. Good idea -- this change allows each operation to be more visible to students who use services and to others who interact with these offices.
And, congratulations to The Office of Disability Services on letting go of an outdated and limiting department name! The new name allows for the broad range of excellent accommodation services provided by the office. |
