  DIIS Distinguished Scholar speaks to Congressional Panel.

Dr. Sandra Steingraber, Distinguished Visiting Scholar in Residence, has been invited to speak at a Congressional Staff Briefing this Friday, May 21st in Washington, D.C. and to discuss President’s Obama’s recent Cancer Panel Report: Reducing Environmental Cancer Risk: What We Can Do Now. 

As a renowned speaker on the causes of environmental cancer, Dr. Steingraber has also been invited to meet with the White House staff for further discussion immediately following the Congressional Briefing. The Ithaca Community is encouraged to read Dr. Steingraber’s recently published article, “Shale Game” in Orion. Visit www.orionmagazine.org. Dr. Steingraber is with the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies.
