Faculty and alumni from the Occupational Therapy Department at Ithaca College presented recently at the 15th Congress of The World Federation of Occupational Therapists in Santiago, Chile. The bilingual Congress met from May 4 through May 7, 2010. Presenters are listed below:

Katherine Cooper (MS class of 2008): Community-based Rehabilitation in the Dominican Republic: Efficacy of an Occupation-based Training Program for Community Rehabilitation Workers and Parents of Children with Disabilities (poster presentation)

Melinda Cozzolino (coauthors Janice Monroe, Recreation, Susan Durnford, Speech and Language, and Catherine Gooch were unable to attend the conference): "Can't we all get along?" A look at allied health student perceptions of interdisciplinary cooperation (paper)

Carole White Dennis (faculty) presented:

   Occupational Time Use: Predicting Quality of Life in Typically Developing Adolescents and Adolescents with Physical Disability (poster). Students in Dr. Dennis’ MSOT 2009-2010 Group Research class assisted with this research, including Sarah Burke, Lauren Botterbusch,  Brennan Hagy, Jennifer Koelle, Alison Mishler, Hayley Noll, Laura Risley, Jenifer Tilley, Gale Smith, and Erin Wolcott.

    An Ethnographic Analysis of Time Use in Two Preschools in the Dominican Republic (paper).  Coauthor Judith Pena-Shaff, Pschology, was unable to attend the conference.
