Lee Goodhew Romm to Perform at International ConferenceContributed by Erik Kibelsbeck on 06/21/10 Bassoonist Lee Goodhew Romm will be performing at the International Double Reed Society's 2010 Conference in Norman, Oklahoma, this Saturday. She will present "Avatar" by IC composer Dana Wilson, with alum Josh Oxford at the piano. After that she'll spend a week at the Oberlin Conservatory's Baroque Performance Institute. The International Double Reed Society (IDRS) has over 4,400 members from 56 countries. Within the United States, 50 states as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are represented. The conference is a five-day event that includes concerts, recitals, master classes and workshops presented by leading double reed artists and pedagogues from around the globe. Ithaca College hosted the conference in June 2007. There were over 1000 participants for that event. |
