The Environmental Studies and Sciences Department’s Jason Hamilton recently returned from a week-long tracking and nature awareness course funded by a grant from the I.C. Instructional Development Fund. The Tracker School, located in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens, was founded in 1978 by Tom Brown Jr, America’s most renowned tracker and wilderness survival expert.

The increased awareness Jason brings back from this course will further enhance the exceptional field skills that he shares with students through popular courses like Environmental Sentinels and Natural Resources Ecology – classes that help students become more attuned to the natural environment and our interactions with and influences upon it.
