Summer Piano Institute to Offer Free Public RecitalsContributed by Erik Kibelsbeck on 06/29/10 Three free concerts by faculty and two by students will be offered by the Summer Piano Institute. All will take place in the Hockett Family Recital Hall On Saturday, July 3 at 3pm, Nathan Hess will present a recital of music by Haydn, Shchedrin, Chopin, and Ginastera. He will be joined by Deborah Martin for John Corigliano's "Gazebo Dances." Charis Dimaras will be joined by other artists for an evening of collaborative music on Wednesday, July 7 at 7:30, and John White will give a recital of jazz on Thursday, July 8 at 7:30. The student participants will perform in two separate recitals: Friday, July 9 at 7:30, and Saturday, July 10 at 10am.
