Dr. Miranda Kaye attends Summer Institute on Longitudinal MethodsContributed by John Sigg on 07/20/10 Dr. Miranda Kaye was one of the 40 participants accepted from around the world who attended the Institute on Longitudinal Methods this summer to learn about longitudinal dyadic data. These data present analytic challenges stemming from their various sources of interdependence. Not only is there non-independence between members of the dyad, there is also non-independence of observations within each dyad member. The multilevel or hierarchical linear model is a flexible analytic tool that can accommodate these complexities. The 15th Summer Institute on Longitudinal Methods was sponsored by The Pennsylvania State University and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. 2010's three-day Institute featured a workshop on analysis of longitudinal dyadic data by experts Niall Bolger of Columbia University and Jean-Philippe Laurenceau of University of Delaware. |
