Move-In Day for New Students

When new students arrive at Ithaca College, they become part of a much larger community. As members of this community, we have the chance to welcome them with enthusiasm and Bomber pride!

We are looking for volunteers to assist new students and their parents with the move-in process.  Volunteers will help carry items to residence hall rooms, answer questions, and generally provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We want to introduce our new students to the terrific community they’re joining, so we’re asking faculty, staff, alumni, and current students to help.

We are looking for volunteers to work a two-hour shift on Sunday, August 22. Available times are:

9:00-11:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
1:00-3:00 p.m.
3:00-5:00 p.m.

The week before, a short training will be provided, during which you'll receive your volunteer T-shirt, area assignment, and a "cheat sheet" to help you answer questions that new students or parents may have.

Please contact Lynne Pierce at lpierce@ithaca.edu if you would like to volunteer. In your response, please indicate the shift(s) that you would like to work.
