Jessica Brandt, a Television-Radio major, was one of five students nationwide to receive a $5,000 John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation Scholarship.

Bayliss scholarship recipients are chosen for their academic achievement, extracurricular radio activities, their passion for radio, and their desire to contribute to the overall advancement of the radio industry. 

Brandt recently won local radio station’s Z955's Wannabe a ZJ Contest, and is now working at the station full time. She is the co-host of the morning show and has her own show weekdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and on weekends from 3-7 p.m.

Brandt previously worked at both WICB and VIC. serving as a DJ for modern rock shows, City Rhythms (WICB’s hip hop program), as well as her own specialty Disney show.
