Submitted on behalf of Tanya R. Saunders, Dean, Interdisciplinary and International Studies. I am very pleased to announce that Associate Professor Margaret Arnold (former chair of Recreation and Leisure Studies) has agreed to serve as Assistant Dean for the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies (DIIS). We look forward to her contributions to enhancing DIIS support of its students as we build on the strong foundation laid by Professor Mary Turner DePalma. Now in its 8th year, DIIS student enrollment continues to grow. The DIIS thanks the Department of Recreation and Leisure Students and the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, where Dr. Arnold will continue to serve as a faculty member, for their support of Dr. Arnold’s new role and for sharing her talents with the DIIS. Congratulations Margie! DIIS - what a great choice! We will miss Mary (Mary - remember: "Domino's Pizza, can I help you?") but are completely confident that Margie will rock too!
