This is an exciting year for the Vocal Jazz Ensemble; the group has several great performances scheduled.  Also this year the group has a new director, renowned jazz singer Catherine Gale.

All Ithaca College students regardless of major are eligible to audition for placement into the Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

Auditions for the ensemble will be held on Monday August 30th with slots beginning at 6PM in Beeler Rehearsal room (3104).

Any students wishing to audition should sign up for a time slot on the sheet posted by the office of the Jazz Studies director, room 2308.

Rhythm section players interested in playing the in the group should sign up for the instrumental jazz ensemble auditions (see https://faculty.ithaca.edu/mtitlebaum/JazzEnsAudition/), then should tell the jazz director (either during the audition, or beforehand via email) that they are interested in being assigned to the VJE rather than an instrumental jazz ensemble.
