Bruce Henderson, professor of Speech Communication, has co-authored a book, recently published by Northwestern University Press.

Learning to Perform: An Introduction by Carol Simpson Stern (Northwestern University) and Bruce Henderson, Speech Communication, has recently been published by Northwestern University Press.  The book is intended as an introductory textbook for courses in performance studies and covers the performance of literature, slam poetry, personal narrative performance, cultural performance, and other forms of and contexts for performance.  This is the second book co-authored by Stern and Henderson, and Henderson's second book published in 2010 (the first, Understanding Disability Studies and Performance Studies, which he co-edited with Noam Ostrander, DePaul University, was published by Routledge in March).
