Ithaca College Partners with the United Way to "Stuff the Bus"!Contributed by Tanisha Malone on 09/12/10
In the past, departments around campus have collected household items, nonperishable food, personal care items, and food supplies in their areas which were collected and taken down to Stewart Park. This year we can all bring our items to the Academic Quad outside the Campus Center and "stuff the bus"! A Gadabout size bus will be parked on the Quad where you can drop off your donations between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This is a great way to support our students in their efforts to make an impact in the community. So, PLEASE, bring these items to the Quad on Tuesday, September, 14, 2010, and help us "Stuff the Bus"! The 2010 Tompkins County United Way Campaign kicks off this year with the Stephen E. Garner Day of Caring on Friday, September 16, 2010. In support of this, the Ithaca College Stone Soup Philanthropy Corp (student organization) and Tompkins County United Way will collaborate on a "Stuff the Bus Event" - Tuesday, September 14th.
