What does it mean to be part of a diverse community? Join us Wednesday as Dr. Maura Cullen explores how to embrace diversity to form an inclusive community. Her presentation, "Taking the Adversity out of Diversity," addresses the fear of being judged and misunderstood and facilitates meaningful action.

Dr. Cullen's presentation will take place this Wednesday, Sept. 15, with sessions starting 7p.m and 9 p.m. in Emerson Suites.  This presentation is open and free to the public.

All first-year students and new transfer students are required to attend this workshop.

Students should attend either the 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. presentation. The workshop is offered twice to accommodate student schedules and facilitate 100% participation by first-year and new transfer students. Students' Resident Assistants should inform them of the time period assigned to their residence hall.

This presentation is a First-Year Experience event, giving first-year students the opportunity to register for the chance to win an Apple® iPad at the end of the semester! Wear your First-Year Experience T-shirt! You can find more featured events on the FYE event calendar.
