Assistant Professor of Music, Nicholas Walker, will present a recital at the 2010 International Double Bass Convention in Berlin, Germany on October 6th. 

The convention will take place at the University of Arts, UdK from October 5-10, 2010, featuring concerts, masterclasses, and exhibits from leading double bass performers and pedagogues from across the globe.  Walker will presents a recital showcasing the double bass as a versatile and expressive "cross-over" instrument, blending popular and classical genres of music from North and South America.  His program includes works by Frank Proto, Astor Piazzolla, J.S. Bach, Dana Wilson (Charles A. Dana Professor of Music in the School of Music at Ithaca College), the Beatles, and Walker's own composition, A Grease Fantasy.
