Craig Cummings, Professor of Music Theory, recently completed three invited guest lectures in Oklahoma—one for students at Oklahoma Baptist University and two for the Oklahoma Music Theory Roundtable.

The lecture at Oklahoma Baptist, Contextual Listening, or Hearing the TF in SHMRTFO, involved working with about forty music students on improving their contextual listening skills; it took place on September 16th.  Dr. Cummings gave two lectures the next day as the invited guest speaker for the Oklahoma Music Theory Roundtable: Pitch Logic in Twentieth-Century Aural Skills: Systems, Collections, Patterns, and Melodies and Twentieth-Century Aural Skills: Rhythm and Dictation.
