Barney Beins (Professor, Psychology) received the 2010 Charles L. Brewer Distinguished Teaching of Psychology Award at the national conference of the American Psychological Association in August.  Professor Beins received this prestigious award for his many years of excellent teaching and his broader influence on the teaching of psychology through his long-term involvement in the teaching division of the APA.  Only one such award is given each year.

Congratulations to Barney! This is truly an exceptional award and reflects on his
total dedication over many years to our students here. His participation in the
APA Education division has of course also benefited our students indirectly and
directly. I would hope that Dean Lewis would be willing to host a reception in
his honor.
