Sarah Fields (Biochemistry '10) presented her work on SHArK (Solar Hydrogen Activity research Kit) at the American Chemical Society National Meeting at Boston, Massachusetts on August 22-25, 21010.

She worked with Professor Akiko Fillinger in the Chemistry Department to investigate metal oxide printing patterns for the SHArK project by utilizing a hand-held X-ray fluorescence spectrometer and optic microscope.  Her finding is crucial to formulate effective material for solar to electricity conversion.
