We will be testing the ability of infants to learn to control the movement of a robot by leaning their bodies. The robot test will take place on the Ithaca College campus, and will require 5 sessions that will last 30 minutes to 1 hour, with the infant and parent/caregiver present. A $15.00 incentive will be offered per session. Your baby will help us to develop a robot that infants with disabilities can use to explore their environment in ways that would otherwise be unavailable to them. This should be fun for you and your baby! If you are interested in participating in this project (or if you know someone who might be), please contact Marissa Becker, who is a graduate student in Occupational Therapy, at 607-237-9963, or by email at mbecker2@ithaca.edu. If you have additional questions, please contact Carole Dennis, Chair of the Occupational Therapy Program, at cdennis@ithaca.edu.
