Associate professors of Politics Beth Harris and Naeem Inayatullah recently participated in a conference sponsored by Baylor University's Center for Jewish Studies titled, "Encountering the Jewish Future: A Global Interfaith Conversation."

Beth presented "Grappling with Necropolitics as a Remnant of the Nation State: Looking Towards the Jewish Future."  Naeem presented, "Does the Future of Judaism or Islam Equal the Prophetic? A Conversation of the Possibilities and Dangers or the Prophetic in Universal Religions."

Their inclusion in the two day conference resulted from conversations that emerged from the inaugural Peggy R. Williams Difficult Dialogues Symposium held in October 2009, which brought Marc Ellis to Ithaca College as a keynote speaker.
