WICB and VIC Nominated for CBI and CMJ Awards

WICB and VIC were nominated for six National Student Production awards by College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI). The winners will be announced October 27-31 at the organization's 2010 convention in Louisville.

The nominations are for:

  • Best Student Media Website, WICB
  • Best DJ: Mike Citera '10, “Mikey Mike in the Morning”
  • Best Regulary Scheduled Program: VIC’s “Disney Mania”
  • Best Sports Play-by-Play: 2 nominations, Basketball vs. St John Fisher and Basketball vs. Utica
  • Best Feature: “2009 YEAR IN REVIEW”

WICB was also nominated for four 2010 College Radio Awards by College Music Journal (CMJ) including two individuals awards for Reece Lazarus ’11.

Nominations include:

  • Best Radio Station
  • Best Student Run Station
  • Music Director of the Year: Reece Lazarus
  • Most Love for the Game: Reece Lazarus

Winners will be announced October 21 at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City.
