Meghan Musnicki, a 2005 Ithaca graduate, has been named to the U.S. National Women’s Rowing Team.

Musnicki is the only graduate of a Division III program named to the eight boat, which will compete at the 2010 World Rowing Championships in Lake Karapiro, New Zealand.

Musnicki earned first-team all-America honors in 2005 after helping the Bombers become the first team to win back-to-back NCAA titles. She rowed in the varsity 8 as a junior and senior (the 2004 varsity 8 won a gold medal at the grand final during the NCAA Championships); as a sophomore she rowed with the second varsity 8 that won state and ECAC titles.

A total of 24 crews will represent the United States at the world championships, which will be held Oct. 31 through Nov. 7.
