 Jack Rossen, Department of Anthropology, has been speaking in both academic and public settings on his archaeological research into the origins of the Iroquois Confederacy.

His recent talks include “Can Archaeologists Learn How Old the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy Is? “ at the Conference on Iroquois Research, Cornwall, Ontario on October 2, and “Digging into the past: Investigating historic Cayuga Indian settlements,” at the Science Cabaret, Wildfire Grill, Ithaca on October 5. Coming up on October 23 will be “Dating the Formation of the Iroquois Confederacy” (with Michael Taylor, Seneca) as part of the Lunch and Lecture Native Cultural Series, sponsored by Friends of Ganondagan State Park, in Victor, NY, October 23.
