The Sustainability Café on Monday, November 15 will feature Bill Shaw speaking on "Redneck Environmental Protection." The Café will be held in the Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 from 4:00-5:00PM. This event is free and open to the public.

Bill Shaw, a native Ithacan, is a practicing attorney with many years experience as a public servant, working at the local, state and federal level, including a stint as the youngest Mayor of the City of Ithaca. Bill also spent time in Washington, first clerking for Antonin Scalia, then helping to establish the Environmental Protection Agency during the Ford administration. Bill has been active in local environmental affairs for decades and he and his family practice an upstate environmental preservation lifestyle: tree and food product farming and foraging, forest harvesting, sylvaculture, and hunting and fishing.
