The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival is offering a new academic immerrsion experience for students: FLEFF Lab: The Checkpoints Project. Enroll now, as seats are limited: FLEFF LAB: CHECKPOINTS PROJECT (3 credits) Work on the cutting edge of new media with international professionals and theorists without leaving campus! No old media production, new media production or new media theory experience necessary! No computer skills or coding background necessary! Just bring your imagination and willingness to work collaboratively. Open to all students, regardless of class standing, experience, major or school. Seating is limited--so sign up early. Work with professors who are internationally recognized new media practitioners and theorists. International new media professionals, theorists, and artists will participate in discussions via Skype and also review student projects. Course combines theory and practice to produce a group project within professional practices of radical design prototyping experiences in new media--essential creative and real world skills for any new college graduate in any industry. Students in FLEFF classes are eligible for discounts on festival passes and also special introductions and sessions with festival guests.
